1. The wind window.
The wind window is basically the same as your field of vision as you stand with your back to the wind. When the kite is out on the edge of your field of vision (right above you or all the way to one side or another) it pulls very little or not at all.
Right in front of you, just above the ground is the ultimate powerzone. This is where the kite gains the most speed - and speed is what makes it pull. That is why you often start out easy, the kite has not obtained speed yet.
